Good
goblet!
A
‘ye olde worlde’ trompe l’oeil required the
painting of a life-like medieval goblet perched on a
window ledge, adding a truly authentic touch to the
shuttered window scene. The one-wall mural was
inspired by the stunning scenery featured in the Lord
of the Rings blockbuster and now serves to inspire the
daydreams of patients and staff at a Halifax dental
practice.
Land
ahoy
Painting
a seven-metre wall whilst cruising (literally) around
the Mediterranean made for a fascinating experience.
With glamorous assistant in tow, Muraldesign
transformed the dining room on board the Thomson
Destiny whilst intrigued waiters and passengers looked
on each mealtime at the evolving palm trees, volcanic
island and fishing boat pulled ashore.

A
‘rail’ challenge
Muraldesign
pulled out all the stops to create a thundering steam
train scene on a little boy’s bedroom wall as part of
a complete train-themed room. The impressive mural
covered all four walls and the ceiling and, after
carefully sketching out the tracks and outline of the
train, Anna is pictured applying the base colours for
the old-fashioned mountain express.

Surf’s
up!
Wetsuits,
dingys and tropical fruit cocktails featured in a
surf-shack themed mural painted in the teenage area on
board the Thomson Sprit cruise ship whilst in dry dock.
Muraldesign and co undertook the week-long rejuvenation
of the room and can be seen here working hard creating
trompe l’oeil flip-flops, bags and beach balls.
