Pipe Band mural transforms Highland Town! Anna
Smith of Muraldesign was selected to paint a
large-scale exterior mural in a Scottish town as part of
a regeneration project.
Anna
undertook her largest commission to date when she
transformed the 40 square metre wall in Invergordon,
Rosshire, into a dramatic scene depicting the town’s
former Distillery Pipe Band in full costume complete
with kilts, sporrans and bearskin hats.
The
high street mural is one of nine planned for the town as
part of ‘Invergordon Off The Wall’, a Heritage
Lottery funded project designed to give the town a
tourism boost.
