Fire mural!
Anna Smith of
Muraldesign was selected for the second year
running to paint a large-scale exterior mural in a
Scottish town as part of a regeneration project.
Anna
undertook her largest commission to date when she
transformed the 50 square metre wall in Invergordon,
Rosshire, into a dramatic scene depicting the town’s
fire brigade in action putting out a local hotel that
burnt down in 1973.
The
fireman are depicted wearing different uniforms as the
idea was to represent a timeline of fire fighting
through the ages.
The
high street mural is one of eleven that have been
completed in the town as part of ‘Invergordon Off The
Wall’, a Heritage Lottery funded project designed to
give the town a tourism boost.
