Door
in disguise
Read
anything good lately?
Well if you want to
borrow a bestseller from this bookshelf you might be
disappointed as Muraldesign’s been working its magic!
This
once plain white doorway in a character cottage is now a
fascinating trompe l’oeil which features faux cupboard
doors, identical to those the other side of the
fireplace, and shelves filled with an eclectic mix of
books, objets d’art and everyday items.
The
music-loving residents of this Putney home can now enjoy
browsing their bookshelves without the need for dusting
thanks to this clever, comical and very cool creation.
Muraldesign incorporated an
array of quirky touches including books entitled ‘The
History of the Mini’ by Cooper and ‘Man’s Best
Friend’ by Jack Russell, Beatles style Russian dolls
and a lifelike £5 note tucked underneath an ashtray.
