A
creative call
It
may look lifelike but there’s no need for coins!
This trompe l’oeil
telephone box now features in the basement of a
Hampstead household with a penchant for murals. Cleverly
incorporating the features of the doorway, Muraldesign
transformed a utility room entrance into a quirky and
colourful work of art.
In true Muraldesign
style, imaginative touches were added to personalise the
painting for the American family including a ‘Discount
calls to USA’ sign inside the telephone box.
The bright red phone box is adjacent to a
Queen’s Guard painted on the door of the downstairs
bathroom which creates a truly unique space (not to
mention a ‘talking point’!) Muraldesign completed
the basement’s mural makeover with under-stairs
cupboards cleverly painted as stables.
