Muraldesign was all at sea when it was commissioned to give a cruise ship dining room a new lease of life. Anna and her assistant spent three weeks on board Thomson Destiny with the challenge of painting a seven metre long tropical island scene in the ship’s dining room... which was rarely empty! Luckily there were three weeks to complete the mural as chasing the paint from port to port for the first 10 days was certainly a setback (although it did make lying on deck more guilt-free!) Once the paint arrived Anna and her assistant had to work during the early hours of the morning whilst the passengers took a short break from eating. Keeping a steady hand in the choppy waters was a little taxing but fortunately there were a few friendly waiters on the horizon to keep morale high!
